Post Pro News - lost html tags interpretation

Hallo to everybody.
I have experienced following error.
In past, the article module has interpreted HTML tags regularly.
see minory.cz/index.php?na...amp;aid=38
where I even combined HTML and BB codes with expected look of article. See below a part of the article script from 2013

Code:
[align=right]Rancher[/align][/i][hr][hr]
<h2>«Аэро Минор» для Сталина</h2><br>
<br>
<b>Upřímné srdečné projevy československých pracujících, nadšené oči desítek tisíc obyvatel Prahy, sváteční proslovy, pak Polytechnické Museum a moskevská porodnice, dlouhá léta bez slávy a v zapopmenutí, náhodný nález a seriózní zkoumání historie – to všechno se sešlo v historii tohoto malého vozu, který byl určen pro velkého vůdce.</b><br><br>
<img align=center width=750 src=http://oldtimer.ru/upload/retrospective/23-10-13Aero_Minor_for_Stalin/dar2crop.jpg><br><br>

Even <table> tags used to be interpreted correctly.

Recently (6 months ...???) the same use of HTML started to collapse as shown on printscreen of the same script ( minory.cz/obr/CL59.jpg )

Frankly speaking, I do not remember the cause.
I have upgrade Dragonlfly at 9.4.0.0 and Pro News at 3.4.5. today, but no progress.
I believe, this is something stupid (besides me) and easy to be solved.

Can anybody point me at necessary setting/config file to consolidate this bug? I do not exclude, that I made some "small" config changes in past, that were resulted in this error... Thank you.

Post Re: Pro News - lost html tags interpretation

2 places I can think of:

Administration > Messages > Pro_News > Config > Administration Settings > Allow HTML in Admin Posts > Yes (most likely)

Administration > Forums > Forums > Forums > Configuration > User and Forum Basic Settings > Allow HTML (not sure if applies to Admin)

The first one calls nbbcode.php with no option to process HTML, the second stops nbbcode.php from processing HTML.

Other places only limit you from inputting HTML, IIRC.

Hope that helps. If not let me know, and I'll try and send you some diagnostic code.

BTW, the latest of my Enhanced BBCode should allow you to just about post anything without using HTML.

You may want to consider upgrading to Pro_News 4.0. Thanks for the donation!

Thank you for your response.

It seems to be not fully following your advice.

Config of Forums is OK, as seen

But the Pro News config... (too large to be displayed here) has no HTML setup, neither in Administration Settings.

Post Re: Pro News - lost html tags interpretation

I suspect that you have a theme update issue. When you upgraded Pro_News you may have updated a different theme to the one that you are using today? Or the template/pronews/admin/admin.html did not get updated?

This option wasn't introduced until Pro_News 3.3.2.2 ( I think - that was over 4 years ago Wink ) so was not in the template before that release. Deafult setting is 0 meaning No. Please check that you have the latest template file in the theme that you are currently using for Admin.

If you want to check if this IS the problem - and you are OK using phpMyAdmin - looking in cms_config_custom for pro_news | admin_html and make sure it is set to 1. Quick way to find it is to select Sort by key: unique_cfg (Descending) and then it should be around bottom of page 4.

[ Note if you change the value in cms_config_custom directly, you will need to delete /cache/config_MAIN_CFG.php and let DF recreate it. Normally Admin > Pro_News > Config would do this for you. ]

Yes, I knew that that change would cause problems. I fought against it for a long time, but didn't foresee your problem.

I use reDesign3 which still has an Admin part in the theme, just so I do not see that problem.

Thank you.

No problem! Just happy that you are finding it valuable.

Oh no. It's been out for nearly 2 years. There is one very specific bug - that I found reviewing the code - but it is not 1 that anyone is likely to see. But there will be a newer release, but not for a while. It'll just include more responsive templates. And that 1 fix.
