I had a flash of inspiration today on what may be a useful pro news feature.
I would like my memebrs to have the ability of choosing to have their latest downoad added to a news category. Pro news would ideally pick up the main description of the file and use the supplied screenshot, perhaps using extended text in its own extended text too. The article should then await admin approval to allow for edits etc.

The idea is a good one, although I'm not sure how many people would need/want/use it. I assume it would work something like the Promote Article feature in Forums/ForumsPro. But unfortunately it is not feasible - due to the license for Downloads_Pro.

If you read the license that's supplied in the zip you'll see that it is not GNU GPL, and not free/libre/open source either.

This is probably also the reason no-one has fixed the frustrating bugs in DP.
