As any of you who've been following will know, I wanted to add a "Featured Content" like display into Pro_News. (If you don't know what I mean by Featured Content, then do a search on DragonflyCMS for the post by greenday2k, or take a look at the original developers Dynamic Drive.)

Anyway, I've got it working, see screen capture alongside. Note this is ENTIRELY done in Pro_News template, no change to Pro_News code at all. A strong vindication as to the power of Pro_News templates!

In fact the image you are looking at was created by typing the necessary html directly into a Pro_News article using one of the standard templates.

Obviously some cleaning up and packaging to do, but basically it will take up to the first 10 of your Photo Albums pictures as would normally display on the first page of an article, and displays them like this. It autoscrolls through the 10 images, pauses if you mouse over, changes to any image of your choice if you mouse over a small image, and the next/previous buttons scroll the slider bar on mouse over, or change to the neighbouring image if clicked! Clicking on the images should bring up the pop-up full-size image in the final version.

Think that is enough versatility?

Anyway, will be released sometime fairly soon, and should work on any copy of Pro_news 3.2 (or 3.1). Watch this space. As always early test versions will be available to my Sponsors group first - for obvious reasons.
