This article attempts to demonstrate the new display new images, including the border, frame and drop-shadow, plus the Album display and User Fields.

The image above is associated with the Intro section.

Those to the right are from the selected Coppermine Album - the display format is handled by the indexalb.html template, allowing user configuration.

The Title (missing in this case) and the Field Names are user configurable in the language/english/pro_news.php file(s).    _PNMORE ...

Long time since I had anything positive to post, but I'm getting close now to having the ForumsPro link working. A couple more weeks should see it done, if everything goes to plan.

There will be a lot to beta test, so I'll be looking for lots of help!!!

Besides the ForumsPro bit (much of which was coded by Sarah) there is a big logic change to Admin > Sections (where most of the ForumsPro new code had to go). Also many changes to bring the Article templates HTML and CSS into compliance. Plus of course rolling in all the inline fixes listed in Forums here.    _PNMORE ...

layingback.net member gallowglas has graciously supplied an rss module for Pro_News. This will be added to the next release of Pro_News, but if you don't want to wait, you can download the module from gallowglas' post here.

Just drop it into your /rss directory.

If you noticed the Bots display in User Info on this site, then here's the hack to add it to yours.

A pretty serious bug was recently found in Pro_News. The fix is easy to apply, and I would urge everyone to apply it.

Probably not worth loading WeatherHarvest just for this, but if youi are already using it, I have got the Radar image working again with the latest system used by NOAA (applicable to sites only).

The Kuragari logo - the News logo with Pro written across it stands out like a sore thumb. Unfortunately my attempt - from a screenshot of a headline panel - just stands out as pathetic!

[ You can seem them both as I had to use them as icons for the other Sections above. ]

So ... If anyone feels they can do better, please forward as a .png of 48x47 pixels (w x h) if you would like it considered for inclusion.
