Number of Headlines per Section

I think this is probably a new feature request, or maybe it is something the I could template ?
I am experimenting with using Pro_News as the Home module.
In the Main Config, I can set the number of headlines to appear. This seems to be a global setting. It would be useful to me to have the ability to set this per section.
Eg In one section I would just want maybe two or three headlines, but another would be preferable to have 10 or more.
Would I be best to look into a template for this, or maybe add a setting in per section for the number of headlines ?
