Want a New Website? We'll Develop a Website that You can Maintain

Geschrieben von: layingback am Thursday, 30 April 2009 (15:40:48) PDT   (2505 Gelesen)
Example Website - Client Maintained
You want a new/replacement website?
But these questions - or ones very much like them - are at the forefront of your mind?

  • You are through with "static" websites which never change, and seem to go "out of date" almost overnight?
  • But you simply can't afford to always have someone on staff - or on contract - to keep your website up-to-date for you?
  • And you yourself simply don't have the time, inclination or even the skill to build the sort of website that you really want for yourself?
  • But you worry that if you don't build it yourself, how are you possibly going to know how to change it yourself?

layingback blog: DragonflyCMS Templates

Geschrieben von: layingback am Monday, 19 July 2010 (15:36:05) PDT   (269 Gelesen)
As some of you may be aware, with Pro_News I've pushed the Dragonfly Template system, a variant of the SMARTY system in PHP I'm led to understand, pretty far.

I've templated pretty much everything, except repetitive lists. You might be surprised to learn that I've even added templates to the Submit Article Input screens. The reason is that you can then easily customise those Submit Article screens to remove any unneeded input fields for cert ...    Weiter lesen ...

layingback Store Opening

Geschrieben von: layingback am Wednesday, 07 April 2010 (12:58:52) PDT   (582 Gelesen)
Yes, you read that correctly, I'm opening a small template store here at layingback.net.

The Template Exchange concept never really worked out, so I'm closing that forum. [ At least I don't have to archive the 0 themes which have accumulated there! Smile ]

I'm a long time supporter of RMS (Stallman) and his GNU GPL2 and later, so rest assured that Pro_News is and will remain F/OSS: Free Libre Open Source Software. And staying with GPL2 unti ...   Weiter lesen ...

Proofreading and Secretarial Services

Geschrieben von: Rusty_ am Tuesday, 16 March 2010 (03:41:15) PDT
This is a site that is more of a static site in appearance with the Dragonfly engine.

I only have Pronews and Contact Us as the active modules, and with Redesign3 as the base for the theme.

I disabled the drop downs to just have level 1 menu links like

Home | About Us | Services | Vision | Ect

and used CSS to create a mouse over effect and highlight when the Pro_news article link is selected.   Weiter lesen ...

Geschrieben von: layingback am Sunday, 21 January 2007 (13:31:53) PST
I did not set out to develop this version of Pro_News. I latched on to Kuragari's Pro_News Beta as a suitable Article- (versus News Story- ) based module. Then discovered that Kuragari's priorities had shifted, and Pro_News release version wasn't likely t ...   Weiter lesen ...
